The Cantonal Office des systèmes d’information et du numérique (OCSIN)
is the nervous system of the Geneva cantonal administration. Thanks to
technology, more than 600 employees work every day to facilitate access
to information and create links between citizens and the public service. On
average each year, OCSIN experts manage more than 380 projects, 1,400
applications and 6,500 databases for 530,000 users. Their mission is to
provide citizens, businesses and the cantonal administration with high-
quality, secure digital services in order to position the State of Geneva as a
key player in the transformation of society brought about by the rise of
digital technology. Innovation and an agile approach are the key success
factors that guide them in managing their projects and developing value-
creating solutions. To achieve this, they decided to issue a public invitation
to tender for the acquisition of a data virtualisation solution. Our
DataChain® solution was selected as part of this process.
